Texas men's athletic director DeLoss Dodds is expressing confidence in football coach Mack Brown, despite the 40-21 pasting at BYU on Saturday.
The loss led to a coaching staff shake-up, with Brown replacing defensive coordinator Manny Diaz with former assistant Greg Robinson.
In an interview Wednesday with the Austin American-Statesman, Dodds denied rumors of a meeting by himself, school President Bill Powers and Brown after loss. He also said no such meetings are planned.
Dodds said he approved of Brown's staff shake-up and that Brown has the confidence of himself and the university. In his words, ''Mack's fine.'' Dodds also said he's given no thought to the possibility of retiring.
