On a night of big plays by both teams, Tennessee Tech's Tre Lamb made the last and biggest one. His 14-yard touchdown pass to Jack Ziegler with 1:25 to play gave the Golden Eagles a dramatic 34-31 victory over Tennessee-Martin Saturday night in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Earlier in the fourth quarter, Lamb's 1-yard touchdown had given Tennessee Tech (4-1, 3-0) a 27-24 lead before Tevi Barksdale scored his second short touchdown run of the evening to give UT-Martin (2-2, 1-2) its last lead. The score and momentum had switched all night, beginning with Kevin Barfield's 99-yard kickoff return for a first-quarter touchdown for the Skyhawks.

But Lamb responded with a 72-yard scoring pass to Tim Benford in the second quarter. In the third quarter, Tennessee Tech's Corey Watson intercepted a pass and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown. In the end, Lamb's scoring pass to Ziegler prevailed.
