TCU still unsure if it'll have its star QB against Oklahoma

The TCU Horned Frogs might have to put their Big 12 title hopes on the line without star quarterback Trevone Boykin on Saturday against No. 12 Oklahoma.

Boykin injured his ankle during last week's 23-17 win against Kansas and did not return. Coach Gary Patterson told reporters Monday that Boykin is "questionable" to play in the game. Without him, winning for a second consecutive time against Oklahoma -- but this time in Norman -- might be too much to ask.

The Sooners (9-1, 6-1) are fresh off a huge win at Baylor (8-1, 5-1) that puts OU and Oklahoma State in the driver's seat for the Big 12 Conference title and a College Football Playoff berth. TCU (9-1, 6-1) had its hopes of an outright conference title dashed two weeks ago in a 49-29 loss at Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys (10-0, 7-0) are the lone Big 12 team that remains undefeated after squeaking past Iowa State last Saturday.
