FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Two former TCU players have been named full-time defensive assistants on coach Gary Patterson's staff.

The school announced Thursday that Zarnell Fitch will be a defensive line coach after serving two seasons as the school's director of high school relations. Jason Phillips will be the linebackers coach after being a graduate assistant for the Horned Frogs last season.

Along with those additions, former Oklahoma State quarterback J.W. Walsh is now at TCU as a graduate assistant on offense. He played his final game for the Cowboys in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day.

Fitch was a letterman as a TCU defensive lineman in 2004 and 2005. Phillips was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference linebacker for the Frogs from 2005 to 2008.
