Super Bowl 50 MVP Miller offers support to former teammate Manziel

Published Feb. 8, 2016 3:40 p.m. ET

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is truly hanging in the proverbial balance.

His professional career -- and personal life -- has been altered at great lengths this past week. Reports surfaced over an alleged domestic violence charge against his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley. Crowley will reportedly file charges over the incident, and it's unknown at this time as to how this will impact Manziel legally.

Manziel's father, Paul, also publicly spoke about his son's issues -- making a plea for help. The quarterback has left two rehabilitation facilities, and his father believes he may be suicidal.

Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller -- a former teammate of Manziel's at Texas A&M -- took to Instagram only hours after the win over the Carolina Panthers to offer his support for the Cleveland quarterback.

As Miller demonstrated, there are plenty of people hoping the former Texas A&M star can get back on his feet healthy -- with the hopes of salvaging a once-promising professional career.
