Stoops: Mixon has been disciplined

There are plenty of questions about the upcoming football season for the Oklahoma Sooners and none are more important than the quarterback situation.

However, Joe Mixon, OU's celebrated running back, who has still yet to play a game for Oklahoma, is back in the news.

Mixon was suspended for last season after he was caught on video punching a woman. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops answered questions about Mixon and more Tuesday in Dallas during Big 12 Media Days.

According to the Tulsa World, Stoops defended Mixon.

The Oklahoman also reported Stoops as saying no violence should be tolerated.
