Star DE prospect CeCe Jefferson expects to sign with Florida soon
Five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson looks like he will sign with Florida after all.
After apparent concerns over a coaching change, the 6-2, 275-pound Jefferson tweeted Saturday that it's just a matter of time before he puts pen to paper. That news comes just days after he committed to Florida in a televised press conference.
The Coach Collins that Jefferson is likely referring to is Gators defensive coordinator Geoff Collins. Leo Jefferson, CeCe's father, had expressed concern over the recent departure of defensive line coach Terrell Williams, but CeCe's tweet seems to indicate all will be well.
On top of that, Leo Jefferson was contacted Sunday by 247Sports, reportedly telling the site that Florida will receive his son's letter of intent on Monday or Tuesday.
If that's the case, the final bit of drama surrounding the Gators' recruiting class will draw to a close, and Jim McElwain will have this standout defensive lineman in his program.
