Despite the fact that his Stanford team isn't out of the chase for the College Football Playoff spot, head coach David Shaw doesn't have any interest in following the College Football Playoff rankings.
When asked about the rankings, which are released every Tuesday, Shaw said he'd rather just play the games and look at the final standings.

“Instead of spending my time trying to guess what’s going to happen, I’d rather just play our games and see what happens," said Shaw.
Stanford has two more games left before the final rankings come out: Notre Dame and the Pac-12 title game versus USC or UCLA.
