Stanford can clinch Pac-12 North title on Saturday vs. Oregon

Published Nov. 9, 2015 8:26 p.m. ET

With a win on Saturday versus a surging Oregon team, Stanford can clinch the Pac-12 North crown for the third time in four seasons.

Stanford (8-1, 7-0) has won seven consecutive games following a season-opening loss at Northwestern. While that initial loss was disappointing, the Cardinal have found a real groove offensively this season and continue to blow out Pac-12 opponents.

The Ducks (6-3, 4-2) come into Palo Alto having won three consecutive games for the first time this season. Oregon still has an outside shot at claiming their second consecutive Pac-12 crown. However, the Ducks would need to beat Stanford and have the Cardinal fall to Cal the following week.
