Stanford benefitting from inexperienced opposing quarterbacks

Stanford has rattled off four consecutive impressive victories following a season-opening 16-6 loss to Northwestern. However, it is interesting to note that Stanford has yet to truly face a proven quarterback.

Including Stanford's next two games, against UCLA and Washington, the Cardinal will have faced six "rookie" quarterbacks through its first seven games. The only QB outside of the "rookie" category would be USC's Cody Kessler.

In speaking about facing unexperienced quarterbacks, Stanford linebacker Blake Martinez said that, "You just have to show them what college football is about."

As for Stanford's next rookie test, against UCLA's Josh Rosen, Martinez said that Stanford doesn't have anything crazy planned for the true freshman.

"We're not going to do anything crazy for him. We'll just go at what UCLA does on offense and make sure they don't get any explosive plays."
