South Carolina State moves past Norfolk State 17-3

Temarrick Hemingway and Adrian Kollock each scored second-half touchdowns to help South Carolina State beat Norfolk State 17-3 Saturday.

The Bulldogs (9-3, 7-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) broke a 3-3 tie late in the third quarter when Richard Cue found Hemingway for a 23-yard score, capping a seven-play 57 yard drive.

In the fourth quarter, James Robinson sacked Malik Stokes and recovered the fumble, setting up a 17-yard rushing touchdown by Kollock two plays later with 3:27 left.

Norfolk State (3-9, 3-5) couldn't get anything going aside from a first quarter 19-play 87 yard drive that resulted in a Cameron Marouf field goal for their only lead of the game. They punted eight times and had two turnovers.

Rolandan Finch paced the Spartans with 75 yards rushing.

Cue completed just three of his 14 attempts for 41 yards and two interceptions, he added 41 on the ground.
