However, a source told FOX Sports on Monday that regarding NCAA championship (or CFP) drug testing, when a semifinal round is selected for testing all participating teams in that round are tested.

Oregon wide receiver Darren Carrington, a star in the Ducks' semifinal win over Florida State, was sidelined for the title game against Ohio State after he failed an NCAA-administered drug test the week of the Ducks' Rose Bowl win over the Seminoles.
