Sophomore RB Christian McCaffrey named to Hornung Award watch list

Stanford sophomore running back Christian McCaffrey has been named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list. The award is given to the "most versatile player" in the country and there were 44 players from around the country named to the watch list.

McCaffrey shined as a freshman last season while gaining 796 total yards of offense. He played in all 13 games last year and is expected to be a much bigger part of the Cardinal offense in his second season.

The expectation for McCaffrey this season is to see time at running back, wide receiver and on special teams and a return man.
