Sonny Dykes says players understand Utah was a missed opportunity
After a crushing 30-24 loss at Utah, Cal head coach Sonny Dykes says that his players understand they blew an opportunity against the Utes. However, Dykes also said that his players are ready to move on to UCLA.
"They're disappointed, hurt, but at the same time, determined, resilient, optimistic," Dykes said.
As for QB Jared Goff, Dykes said that Goff is disappointed about his five-interception performance, but that he's fine emotionally.
"His state of mind's fine," Dykes said. "He's disappointed. His performance wasn't indicative of the kind of player he is."
The Bears next play on Oct. 22 against No. 18 UCLA in Los Angeles.
