After being shutout of the first five rounds of the 2015 NFL draft, Boston College’s Ian Silberman became the first Eagle selected when the San Francisco 49ers chose him with the 190th overall pick in the sixth round.

The 6-5, 294-pound offensive lineman who transferred from Florida started 13 games for Boston College last season and earned third-team all-ACC honors.

Silberman was a key factor in an Eagles offensive that produced the 14th-most rushing yards in the FBS, tallying 251.8 yards per game.
