Star Florida State punt returner Greg Reid has been charged with possession of marijuana and driving without a valid license.

A Georgia State patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said Reid was arrested Tuesday in south Georgia near his Valdosta hometown. Reid was also charged with a seat belt violation.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says he is aware of Reid's arrest but didn't have enough information to determine what discipline he may take against the senior cornerback.

Reid was suspended one game last season for a team rules violation and also arrested by Tallahassee authorities on perjury charges that were later dropped. Reid led the nation in punt return average as a freshman and needs 313 yards to break former Seminole Deion Sanders' school record of 1,429 yards on punt returns.
