Matt Scheible threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more as well as a career-best 161 yards to lead Southeast Missouri to a 37-30 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday night.

The Panthers (1-4, 0-3 Ohio Valley) were ahead 17-14 at halftime after Tavares Crawford carried a kickoff return 83 yards for a touchdown.

But Scheible put the Redhawks (1-3, 1-1) on top for good 21-17 early in the third quarter with a 71 yard scoring run.
