ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) Jalen Simmons ran for two touchdowns to lead South Carolina State to a 30-20 victory over Norfolk State in the final game of the season for both teams on Saturday.

Norfolk State's Terrance Ervin threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Isaac White to make it a one-score game, 23-17, with 4:15 left in the third quarter.

Simmons' 35-yard touchdown run with 12:35 left to play stretched the lead for the Bulldogs (8-4, 6-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). After the play a fight broke out between the two teams that delayed the game.

Ervin had two touchdown passes for the Spartans (4-8, 4-4). His 49-yard TD pass to Markice Street got Norfolk State within one point in the first quarter, and Cameron Marouf's 44-yard field goal gave the Spartans their only lead of the game, 10-9, with 11:26 left in the second.
