San Jose St. 42, Idaho 13
David Fales threw four touchdowns to help San Jose State defeat Idaho 42-13 on Saturday afternoon.
Fales was 27 of 39 for 328 yards. Noel Grigsby and Jabari Carr caught a combined 12 passes for a total of 170 yards of offense for San Jose State (7-2, 3-1 WAC). Fales threw a 35-yard TD pass to Chandler Jones.
Logan Bushnell was 14 of 29 for 196 yards. A 12-yard pass to Najee Lovett that gave Idaho (1-8, 1-3) a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Trey Farquhar made a pair of field goals in the third quarter, but the Vandals had no answer for San Jose State's high-powered offense.
Bushnell was named the starter last week after Dominique Blackman was removed from the team.
The Spartans scored two more touchdowns in the second half. The win gives San Jose State its first winning season since 2006.
