Robert Morris took advantage of more than a dozen Monmouth penalties, including one that led to a 21-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter by Shadrae King for a 23-20 win on Saturday.

Jeff Sinclair threw the game-winning score to King with 5:15 remaining to cap a 79-yard, nine-play drive that came after the Hawks were called for 12 men on the field as Robert Morris (1-3, 1-0 Northeast Conference) was lining up for a punt on fourth-and-4.

Monmouth was flagged 13 times for 136 yards, negating the 120-yard advantage it had in total offense (345-225), and the three fumbles lost by the Colonials.

King had two touchdowns and 104 yards on nine catches for Monmouth.
