Report: Toledo steps down at Tulane
Tulane University football coach Bob Toledo has resigned with the team off to a 2-5 start, WGNO-TV reported Tuesday.
The move will be formally announced at a press conference Tuesday, according to the report.
Offensive coordinator Mark Hutson will reportedly be promoted to interim head coach for the rest of the season.
The Green Wave have dropped their last four games, including a 44-7 home loss to UTEP Saturday.
Toledo, 65, was in his fifth season at Tulane, with an overall record of 15-40. Toledo coached UCLA from 1996 to 2002, going 49-32 and leading the Bruins to the Rose Bowl in the 1998 season.
Tulane has not had a winning season since going 8-5 in 2002.
