Clemson stars Mackensie Alexander and Shaq Lawson are expected to play in Monday's College Football Playoff Championship Game against Alabama, according to a report by ESPN.

Lawson, a defensive end who was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, injured his knee during the No. 1 Tigers’ victory over No. 4 Oklahoma in the CFP semifinals, while it was revealed on Monday that Alexander, Clemson’s best corner, is battling a hamstring injury.

According to ESPN, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said that both Lawson and Alexander are “expected to play.”

The No. 1 Tigers (14-0) will kick off against No. 2 Alabama (13-1) at 8:30 p.m. ET.
