Report: Former Clemson basketball player looking to crossover into NFL
Former Clemson point guard Rod Hall is used to scoring points on the hardwood, and now he's looking to do it on the gridiron.
According to a report by The Clemson Insider, Hall is looking to crossover into the NFL and has already received offers from Tampa Bay, Baltimore and New Orleans, but passed on signing any deals because it would interfere with his ability to attend graduation.
Instead, the 6-1, 205-pound Hall, who hasn’t played football since high school, may decide to play college football next season.
Hall has exhausted his four years of basketball eligibility, but he could take advantage of an NCAA rule that allows players that played four years in one sport to obtain an extra year of eligibility in another sport.
Before he attended Clemson, Hall was a standout wide receiver on the Laney High football team in Georgia where he was named to the all-state team by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
