It didn’t take long for Florida State to find its replacement for Jameis Winston.
Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson announced in a statement to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman he will transfer to Florida State to finish his college football career.

Golson graduated from Notre Dame on Sunday but still has one year of eligibility remaining. He chose the Seminoles after also visiting Georgia and Florida last week.
“After much thought and careful consideration, I will utilize my fifth year of eligibility to join the Florida State University Seminoles,” Golson said in a statement to FOX Sports. “To coach Jimbo Fisher, the Florida State football team, staff, alumni and fans, thank you for allowing me to become part of the Seminoles family. I can’t wait to get started.”
