Report: DA not pursuing charges against Tennessee WR Von Pearson

The Tennessee Volunteers receiving corp could be gaining back a member of their unit as senior Von Pearson will not be charged following an accusation of sexual assault in April, according to Volquest

Despite the fact that local authorities will not be pursuing charges, Pearson is not cleared to return to the football program just yet. Pearson is currently barred from enrolling in classes or participating in school activities while charges of sexual assault and criminal charges loomed over his head.

At this point, the school has not yet released a statement in regards to what action they will take next in regards to Pearson's status, however sources from the article indicate a resolution could come in the next 24-48 hours.

Last season, Pearson's first with the Vols after transferring in from junior college, the receiver gained 420 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns for Tennessee. His best game came against Iowa in the TaxSlayer Bowl as Pearson registered seven catches for 75 yards.
