Texas A&M linebacker Kyle Mangan was arrested over the weekend near campus after a fight in the College Station bar district, the Houston Chronicle reported Monday.

According to the report, the 21-year-old Mangan was booked for disorderly conduct early Sunday along with two other men. Mangan posted bond and was released later Sunday, the paper said.

"I have been made aware and it is an unfortunate incident," Texas A&M head coach Mike Sherman said. "Seems like some people have too much free time on their hands. That will be addressed shortly, as well as facing the consequences for this untimely and avoidable incident."

Mangan, a junior, started 10 games in his freshman season but struggled last season with a shoulder injury. He is expected to compete for a starting job for the Aggies, who begin practice Tuesday.
