Pitt OL Alex Bookser earns mention among top ACC freshmen of spring

After taking a redshirt year in 2014, Pittsburgh's Alex Bookser is finally ready to make an impact. Although he is versatile enough to do so from multiple positions, Bookser looks like he'll be the Panthers' starting right guard this fall.

"Bookser has the ability to play tackle, guard and even defensive line, but the redshirt freshman is slotted to start at right guard for the Panthers," ESPN's Jared Shanker wrote in a piece about the ACC's top freshmen of the spring. Bookser was one of only five freshmen mentioned.

With Pittburgh's offensive line in a state of flux heading into the 2015 season, Bookser figures to be a major peg holding the unit together.
