Penn State heads to Indiana this week to try and keep things rolling against the Hoosiers.

The Nittany Lions dominated Iowa Saturday night and enter the new week with five straight wins. Penn State has looked very impressive recently on both sides of the ball and have put up big numbers over the last two weeks. Up next is a road game against the Indiana Hoosiers.

After getting blown out by the Michigan Wolverines on September 24, the Nittany Lions have recently been able to put everything together. Quarterback Trace McSorley looks very comfortable running offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead’s quick-strike offense. Saquon Barkley continues to impress and is clearly one of the top backs in the nation.

The defensive side of the ball is where the Nittany Lions have seen seen the biggest improvement.   Defensive coordinator Brent Pry’s squad, now healthy, has looked like an entirely different defense over the past few games.

Indiana has won its last two games against Maryland and Rutgers. However, previous to those two wins they lost three straight to Ohio State, Nebraska, and Northwestern. The Hoosiers have been strong on offense this year and rank third in the Big Ten with 468.8 yards a game.

Quarterback Richard Lagow has been tough on opposing defenses, as his 2,574 passing yards ranks second in the conference.

Penn State will have to be on top of its game, especially on defense, to walk out of Bloomington with a win. The Nittany Lions hold an overall record of 18-1 against the Hoosiers, with the lone loss coming in Indiana in 2013.
