P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested on Monday for getting into a fight with a UCLA football coach, and the alleged details paint a frightening picture.

Shortly after word of the incident surfaced, UCLA released a statement. Apparently Diddy was charged with assault with a deadly weapon after he attacked the coach with a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured, and Diddy was scheduled to be transferred from the UCLA campus to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center on Monday evening.

UCLA head coach Jim Mora also weighed in on the altercation.

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation,” he said in a statement. “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

Diddy’s son Justin plays defensive back for the Bruins. The initial report stated that Combs was angry with a UCLA staffer for “screaming” at Justin.

As we mentioned before, there has been some criticism over the way Justin went about enrolling at UCLA. At the very least, Monday’s incident is sure to create some awkwardness in the locker room for Diddy’s son.
