OSU runs fake extra point after first TD
The Buckeyes are back and they're eligible. And Urban Meyer isn't messing around.
The Ohio State kingpin ran a successful fake extra point after the team's first touchdown of the season. Against Buffalo. A team that is 9-27 in the last three seasons.
Here's the gloriousness:
Urban didn't stop there. After the team's second touchdown,
also in the first quarter, the Buckeyes ran a straight-up two-point
conversion and converted again.
If you're wondering, yes, the Buckeyes do have a kicker. His name is Drew Basil. He made 53 of his 54 PATs in 2012. He can be seen getting laid out while blocking for Kenny Guiton in the video above.
As you might imagine, Basil was the subject of several Twitter zingers. Even the Lou Groza Award — given annually to college football's top kicker — razzed him:
It's going to be awfully hard for Drew Basil to win the Groza if Ohio State keeps going for two. #justsaying #BUFFvsOSU

So now you know the Lou Groza Award has an official Twitter account.
After the third Ohio State touchdown, in the second quarter, the Buckeyes lined up in an odd formation before rotating and finally, mercifully, kicked an extra point. Ohio State led 23-0 at the time.
