Old Dominion 35, William & Mary 31
Angus Harper ran for three touchdowns, including two in the fourth quarter, as Old Dominion rallied to beat William & Mary 35-31 on Saturday.
After a Jonathan Grimes touchdown put William & Mary (4-6, 2-5 Colonial Athletic Association) ahead 28-21 early in the fourth quarter, Harper scored on a 1-yard run to tie the game 28-28 with 10:53 remaining. Harper scored again on Old Dominion's next possession, taking a handoff 7 yards to give the Monarchs (9-2, 6-2) the lead for good.
Harper finished with 107 yards on 14 carries and Taylor Heinicke paced Old Dominion's passing attack, racking up 273 yards on 30 of 39 attempts.
Grimes led the way for William & Mary, recording 227 yards on 38 carries, but quarterback Brett Caprio threw interceptions on each of the Tribe's last two possessions, sealing the victory for Old Dominion.
