OK State Cowboys aim for Sugar Bowl advantage with quarterback secrecy

Mason Rudolph is questionable for the Sugar Bowl, and at first glance, that wouldn't seem like much of an advantage at all for Oklahoma State. But that's now how the Pokes are looking at it.

"It's just exciting to know that we kind of have that edge as far as the secrecy of it," backup quarterback J.W. Walsh said. "And how coach Gundy kind of goes about his business has always been kind of fun. He's always been that way."

It's clear that Oklahoma State players are having fun with the mystery of their own quarterback situation.

"J-Dub, he's got the coaching mindset," offensive tackle Zach Crabtree said. "That's how J-Dub is. But yeah, it's fun. It's great to have that and it's a great advantage in a lot of ways."

The Cowboys square off against Ole Miss on Jan. 1.
