Ohio State Football: Roundtable and Predictions vs Indiana
Predictions for Ohio State vs Indiana.
Ohio State will host Indiana in the second conference game of the season for the Buckeyes. Will it be another lopsided victory or will the Hoosiers give the Buckeyes fits like they have in the past?
The contributors at Scarlet And Game will share our takes on how the game will play out and our predictions for the final score.
Dillon Davis: Any chances of Indiana sneaking up on the Buckeyes went out the window with the Hoosiers’ big time win over Michigan State. That win, combined with a 3:30 kickoff, will have Ohio State on full alert.Indiana will make a few plays on offense, as they typically do.
The big plays will be nowhere near plentiful enough to keep up with J.T. Barrett and the Buckeyes offense. It will be business as usual when they rack up another 500-yard performance in route to a 52-17 win.
J.T. Barrett continues his assault on the record books with a four-touchdown peformance, including three through the air and one on the ground.
Thomas Scurlock: On the ground, Mike Weber will have his fourth 100-plus yard of the season.
Indiana heads into Columbus confident from its 24-21 overtime win against Michigan State last week. The Hoosiers are also the only team besides the Spartans to consistently give coach Urban Meyer trouble so they won’t be intimidated playing the No. 2 team in the country.
The last two times these teams played, the Hoosiers gained 457 yards on the ground combined. Even though their passing game has been better so far this season, I expect coach Kevin Wilson to make every effort to establish a ground game to keep J.T. Barrett off the field.
The key for the defense is forcing Indiana into third and long situations where the Hoosiers have struggled. Quarterback Richard Lagow has six interceptions on the year. I don’t think Wilson will want to test the No. 1 ranked passing efficiency defense too much or it will make him pay.
On offense, Barrett is locked into late season form and his teammates are feeding off his leadership. The Hoosiers’ secondary is vulnerable. Look for Barrett to have a great day passing the ball finishing with his second 300-plus yard game of the season.
Indiana will put up some points early in the game, but the defense shut them down in the second half. The offense will be steady the entire game. Buckeyes win 42-17.
Hayden Wetmore: Last time Indiana beat Ohio State, the internet wasn’t even invented yet. (What did they even do for fun back then??) Heck, I wasn’t even alive.
I have never seen Indiana beat Ohio State in football, and I won’t this Saturday either. Indiana is not horrible this year, they even beat Michigan State last week. But the Buckeyes are at another level. Ohio State has yet another game that they can probably afford to sleepwalk through.
Indiana does have a talented QB that could test our secondary, but all in all, this game is going to be B-O-R-I-N-G. Ohio State is just too talented, too athletic, and quite frankly, out of Indiana’s league.
This will be another stat-padding game for the Bucks in which the main goal is to stay healthy. My prediction is that JT throws for 4 TD’s in the first half, and Weber goes for 140.
Score Prediction: 56-13
Dano Opacich: My take on Ohio State vs Indiana is, will Indiana be able to handle the multi-faceted OSU Offense… has anyone been able to as of yet… Nope!
Buckeyes will win by 20.

Charlie lockhart: I think it will be a good test for Ohio State against Indiana. The young Buckeye defense will face one of the best offenses in the Big Ten and the Hoosier defense is much improved over last season.
Also, Indiana is known for a couple of things. Big plays on offense and making things uncomfortable for Ohio State. Remember the game in 2014?
I think Ohio State will wear Indiana down as the game goes on and wins comfortably. However, as I predicted earlier in another article, I don’t see them covering the 32 point spread.
I have it Ohio State 48 Indiana 20.
Well these are our takes on the Indiana game. Which one of us do you tend to agree with?
