Northwestern State beats Louisiana Tech 30-27

RUSTON, La. (AP) Chris Moore kicked two field goals in the final 1:05 of the game, including a 47-yarder as time expired, to lift Northwestern State over Louisiana Tech 30-27 on Saturday night.

Northwestern State (2-2) pulled within three with 4:20 left when De'Mard Llorens ran for a 14-yard touchdown. Kenneth Dixon fumbled the ball on the ensuing Louisiana Tech (2-2) possession, leading to Moore's first field goal in the final period that tied the game at 27.

Adam Jones intercepted a pass from Cody Sokol on Louisiana Tech's first offensive play of the next drive, and Northwestern State's Zach Adkins completed two passes to put Moore in position for the game-winner.

Adkins was 21 of 25 for 205 yards passing. Garrett Atzenweiler ran for two scores for Northwestern State.

Kenneth Dixon carried the ball 22 times for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Sokol threw for 280 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions.
