Northern Colorado holds on for 27-19 win over Sacramento St.

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) Jamie Falloon kicked field goals of 27 and 42 yards to give Northern Colorado just enough cushion to hold off Sacramento State 27-19 on Saturday.

The Hornets drove to Northern Colorado's 10 with 11 seconds remaining in the game. Bryan Stansbury sacked Nate Ketteringham on fourth down to stop Sacramento State and secure the victory.

Northern Colorado's (4-3, 2-2 Big Sky) Ellis Onic II started the scoring when he slipped down the sideline for a 79-yard touchdown run on the second play of the game.

Sacramento State came back to lead 10-7 at the break.

Kyle Sloter, who finished with 203 yards passing, threw to Michael McCauley from 25 yards out to go ahead 14-10 with 9:18 left in the third quarter. Sloter hit Hakeem Deggs on a 54-yard scoring strike for a 24-13 lead in the final quarter.

Jordan Robinson led Sacramento State (1-7, 1-4) rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
