North Texas 23, Middle Tennessee 17

Lance Dunbar rushed for 226 yards and a touchdown as North Texas snapped a four-game losing streak against Middle Tennessee in a 23-17 win Saturday.

The Eagles (3-7, 3-4 Sun Belt Conference) led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter on a 30-yard touchdown pass from Riley Dodge to Jamaal Jackson and a 3-yard run by Dunbar. Dodge was 15-for-26 for 167 yards passing for the Eagles, who never trailed. Zach Olen kicked field goals of 53, 24 and 38 yards for the Eagles.

Middle Tennessee (3-6, 2-3) has lost four of its past five games. Phillip Tanner scored both touchdowns for the Blue Raiders and rushed for 87 yards.

Dwight Dasher, who earlier this season became the first Sun Belt player to pass for 4,000 yards and rush for 2,000 in a career, passed for 197 yards and rushed for 82.
