Nittany Lions pick up pair of defensive recruits
A major Penn State football recruiting event over the weekend yielded two new future Nittany Lions.
Cameron Brown, a four-star linebacker from The Bullis School in Maryland, pulled the trigger Saturday morning while three-star defensive end Shaka Toney of Philadelphia joined him later in the day.
Both were attending the "Lasch Bash" camp on the PSU campus.
Scout.com rates Brown the No. 21 outside linebacker in the country and the second-best at his position in the East region. He was also considering North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and USC.
Scout rates Toney the No. 52 defensive end in the country and identified North Carolina, Duke and Pittsburgh as his other finalists.
The Penn State 2016 class numbers 18 players and as of Monday morning was ranked No. 6 nationally and third in the Big Ten behind Ohio State and Michigan State.
