The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide annihilated USC 52-6 in AT&T Stadium Saturday, handing the Trojans their worst loss in a season opener in program history, and their worst overall loss since 1966.
Nick Saban said he was proud of his team for starting the season with a victory over a ranked team, but he quickly noted that he believes the Tide have a long way to go despite what the scoreboard says.

Alabama didn't score a point until the second quarter, after starting quarterback Blake Barnett was pulled in favor of true freshman Jalen Hurts. Hurts delivered two touchdowns through the air and rushed in two more.
Perhaps that attitude is why Saban's won five national titles.
