NFLPA suspends advisor amid agent scandal

The NFL Players Association has suspended
contract advisor Marlon Sullivan for six months and fined him $10,000 for
improperly supervising an employee.

While the unnamed employee worked for Sullivan, he provided money to a former
college football player as an incentive to sign Sullivan as his agent. NFLPA
rules hold contract advisors responsible for those actions regardless of
whether or not they have prior knowledge of such actions.

This suspension comes on the same day that Sports Illustrated published a
story about an agent, Josh Luchs, who provided improper benefits
to various collegiate athletes, some of whom are currently professionals.
Among the players allegedly involved were former Chargers quarterback Ryan
Leaf and former first-round picks Jamir Miller and Chris Mims.
