PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) Rutgers' fifth-year senior linebacker Greg Jones is going to miss the rest of the season with a neck injury.

Scarlet Knights coach Chris Ash updated Jones' status Saturday, less than an hour before Rutgers was to host No. Michigan.

Jones was hurt playing against No. 2 Ohio State last weekend. He is fully recovered but has been told not play football at this time.

A native of Colonia, Jones started the first five games at strong-side linebacker. He had 20 tackles, including eight in the victory over New Mexico. He also had a sack and a pass break-up at Washington in his first start at Rutgers.
