LINCOLN, Neb. -- University of Nebraska campus police say redshirt freshman wide receiver Jariah Tolbert has been ticketed on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police Sgt. Dave Dibelka said Friday that Tolbert, 19, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, was cited early Thursday along with two 19-year-old women.

Dibelka says an officer questioned the three around 3 a.m. after finding them in a parked car in a campus parking lot. Dibelka says the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car and found a marijuana pipe inside.

Dibelka says Tolbert and the women acknowledged they had smoked marijuana that night.

The athletic department says coach Mike Riley is aware of the incident and had no immediate comment.
