Near-brawl erupts in Syracuse-Boston College game after late hit

Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey had an outstanding day in Chestnut Hill, completing 32 of 38 passes for 434 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Orange to their fourth win of the year.

Dungey did make one very bad throw at the start of the game, however, which resulted in an interception and almost sparked a team-wide brawl. Dungey's deep ball was intercepted by William Harris and returned to Syracuse territory, where Dungey pushed Harris out of bounds and then whipped him to the ground after the play was already dead. Boston College's Matt Milano came to defend Harris and was quickly shoved to the ground by Dungey.

There were a total of three dead-ball penalties called on the play, including a personal foul on Dungey.
