N. Iowa 31, S. Dakota State 14

Tirrell Rennie threw four touchdown passes and Northern Iowa took advantage of five turnovers Saturday to defeat South Dakota State 31-14.

The Panthers (5-1, 4-0 Missouri Valley) trailed 14-7 in the second quarter before scoring 24 unanswered points.

Rennie was 16 of 20 passing for 239 yards and no interceptions. He threw TDs of 8 and 22 yards to Terrell Sinkfield, 80 yards to Jarred Herring and 19 yards to Darion Howard. Herring finished with five catches for 120 yards.

Austin Summer completed 37 of 54 passes for 354 and two touchdowns for South Dakota State (2-5, 1-3), but was intercepted four times. Summer hit Aaron Rollin for a 4-yard score in the first quarter and Dale Moss from 3 yards out in the second to give the Jackrabbits an early lead.

J.J. Swain had two of the interceptions for Northern Iowa.
