Tirrell Rennie passed for 142 yards and a touchdown and ran for 93 yards as Northern Iowa defeated Indiana State on Saturday.

Rennie was 10 of 14 passing for the Panthers (4-1, 3-0 Missouri Valley). His 36-yard scoring toss to Terrell Sinkfield with 4:13 remaining was the dagger, giving Northern Iowa a 20-9 cushion.

Shakir Bell rushed for 145 yards on 14 carries for the Sycamores (4-2, 2-1).

Trailing 13-9, Indiana State drove to the Panthers' 28-yard line midway through the fourth quarter. But George Cheeseborough fumbled, Northern Iowa recovered and drove to Rennie's touchdown pass.

Ronnie Fouch was 12 of 14 passing for 136 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for the Sycamores.
