Brock Jensen and Warren Holloway combined for two long touchdown passes and North Dakota State breezed past Lafayette 42-6 Saturday night in the season opener for both teams.
Jensen hit Holloway for a 67-yard score 11 seconds into the game. D.J. McNorton ran for three touchdowns, all in the first half, as the Bison built a 28-0 lead before the break.
Holloway caught a 57-yard touchdown pass from Jensen in the fourth quarter. Jensen was 15 of 22 for 197 yards - 147 of them to Holloway.
Ryan O'Neil threw a 6-yard TD pass to Mitchell Bennett for the Leopards' only points. There were no turnovers in the game.
