N.C. State tight end David Grinnage is taking a pass on his senior season with the Wolfpack in order to take a shot at the NFL.

Grinnage, a 6-foot-5, 265-pound tight end, caught 25 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns this season will enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

“I would like to thank Coach (Dave) Doeren, coach (Eddie) Faulkner and the N.C. State staff for their support throughout my career,” Grinnage said in a statement. “It will be tough to leave my Wolfpack teammates but I feel that this is the right decision for me and my family at this time.”
