Muschamp hosts special signing day event for early enrollees

The hullabaloo of any National Signing Day can feel carnival-like for all those involved. It's a special experience for each high school athlete signing their respective letter of intent. 

There are six early enrollees (Kobe Smith, Brandon McIlwain, Chris Smith, Bryan Edwards, Keir Thomas, C.J Freeman) from the South Carolina 2016 recruiting class. As such, these athletes didn't get to experience this hectic and exciting day this past Wednesday. 

Head coach Will Muschamp didn't want those players getting left out of mix, so he decided to do something special. South Carolina ended up hosting a private signing day event for the early enrollees.

A room was set up with South Carolina helmets, members of the media, and family members from the players. 

In general, Muschamp loves the idea of getting players acclimated to the program early. He sees that there are many benefits ultimately helping in the transition to the college game.
