Morgan State held off Robert Morris 13-12 on Saturday, fending off the Colonials after they scored a TD with 1:57 to go but missed the potential game-tying extra point to seal the game.

The Bears (1-2) went ahead 13-6 on Abraham Mercado's 23-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter, but the Colonials rallied late. Jeff Sinclair connected with Rickeem Jackson on an 8-yard touchdown to pull Robert Morris within one point, setting up what would have been a game-tying extra point to send it into overtime.

But Greg Langer missed the point-after attempt and Morgan State ran the final 1:45 off the clock, leaving the Colonials (0-3) with a loss.

Robert Council, who threw a 56-yard pass to Tyrone Hendrix for Morgan State's only touchdown in the third quarter, finished 4 of 8 for 93 yards and an interception.
