Mizzou signs talented California JC quarterback prospect

As a means to combat the potential depth issues at quarterback, Missouri went out and got some mercenary help.

Junior college transfer Jack Lowary has signed with the Tigers. He's enrolled in school, and will participate in spring ball.

Lowary is a freshman this year -- prepping at famed Mater Dei High School before transitioning to Long Beach City College. In his only year on the collegiate level, Lowary threw for 3,306 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Due to the fact he's a freshman, he'll have four years to play three for the Tigers. Lowary played at one of the most respected high school programs in the state of California. Mater Dei is a virtual football factory when it comes to developing talent and churning out prospects to the collegiate level.

As such, he should be able to manage the rigors of high Division 1 football at a bit of a higher rate when compared to other prospects.

With Lowary in tow, Missouri now has four scholarship quarterbacks (Lowary, Drew Lock, Marvin Zanders, Micah Wilson) on its roster.
