Michigan State Recruiting: 4-star WR KJ Hamler names top 5
Michigan State recruiting made the top-five schools list of four-star wide receiver KJ Hamler from IMG Academy.
Michigan State recruiting received some good news on Thursday afternoon when five-star power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. committed to Tom Izzo’s basketball program. Mark Dantonio got some quality news as well when four-star wide receiver target K.J. Hamler named his top-five schools list.

Despite suffering a devastating knee injury which ended his senior season with IMG Academy early, Hamler has been high on the priority list of teams like Oregon and Michigan State.

Besides the Spartans and Ducks, Iowa State, Penn State and Arizona made the top schools list of Hamler. Right now, it seems as if Michigan State and Oregon lead for his services.
Michigan State was the leader for him for some time, being the local favorite when he still lived in the Detroit area. He transferred from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s to IMG Academy this past summer to play with more elite players even though his team had just won the start championship.
Hamler ranks as the No. 301 overall player and the 42nd-best wide receiver in the nation, according to 247Sports. His knee injury may have led the Ducks to begin slow-playing him, but the Spartans know exactly what the speedy slot receiver is capable of.
Mark Dantonio is keeping in close contact with the four-star wide out and it’s a good sign that there are likely two teams in his top five with a legitimate shot to land him, in my opinion.
We’ll see where he ends up soon enough.
